This year begins a significant moment in the history of the Verdi Band. The year 2020 is the Centennial of our founding by Professor Loreto Marsella in Norristown. Very few community musical organizations like this can claim 100 continuous years of making music. Centennial plans include a Memorial Mass for deceased members, a special community concert in Norristown’s Elmwood Park Bandshell in summer 2020, and a banquet/concert in October of that same year.
